The Best Faux Christmas Garland – comparing + my favorite!
Happy Christmas in July, Everyone!
Christmas Garland is one of the first holiday decor items to sell out every Holiday Season. With that being said, now is the best time to grab the holiday garland of your dreams, because inventory is typically fully stocked by July.
To hopefully help you in your holiday garland decision, I am sharing my review on four different popular styles.
The Best Faux Christmas Garland
While each of these Christmas garlands are beautiful in their own way, there is one that just stands out as being “The Best Faux Christmas Garland” for me.
Any early guesses?! My overall favorite will be shared at the end 🙂
1. Norfolk Pine Garland – 60-180 inch
The Real Touch Norfolk Pine Garland is one of the most impressive Faux Christmas Garlands I have seen in person! From far away and up close, the Norfolk Garland looks absolutely real. The color is a rich holiday green and the overall vibe is just whimsical holiday magic!
The garland I used is the 60 inch size, however the brand also sells it in a 96 inch double the fullness size and a 180 inch size on their website.
As pictured, the 60 inch Norfolk Pine Garland does not quite fill the length of my (approx 72″) dining table, but it still looks beautiful! The shorter length is kind of nice, because the end chairs can have a plate without pushing garland out of the way.
On the other hand, this garland wasn’t the easiest to maneuver and shape on a dining table. The garland is easy to bend for the most part, but naturally has a curve and just fits better on a fireplace mantel in my opinion. Good news though, this garland barely sheds!
Norfolk Garland “96 inch, double fullness”
The 60 inch Norfolk Pine Garland is the perfect size for a more minimalist Christmas fireplace decor, however, the 96 inch double the fullness size would definitely give a more dramatic look (as shown in the image above).
I am so tempted to purchase this new size for my fireplace this year!
Norfolk Garland “180 inch Staircase size”
How beautiful is this staircase with the whimsical norfolk garland?!
This 180 inch, staircase garland can also be used for a tension rod Christmas garland, frame a front door, bookshelf, large window or any large space that needs a little holiday magic.
Norfolk Pine Garland pros & cons
Pros:
- whimsical holiday look
- very realistic looking
- excellent quality
- comes in multiple sizes & fullness
- pine needles lay nicely on a fireplace mantel
Cons:
- a little pricey for all of the different sizes
2. Faux Cedar & Berry Faux Christmas Garland 56″
The Faux Cedar & Berry Garland (every green cypress), is the smallest most dainty garland out of the four. On my fireplace mantel, it definitely looks very minimalist Christmas. Personally, I prefer a mantel garland to have a little more fullness. However, this would look lovely on a tv console table!
From far away the garland looks very subtle, yet real. Up close, the pine needles look a little dry and bland. I do love the little berries and pinecones!
I really love the cool toned green color that this Christmas garland has! This faux cedar garland would look beautiful with snowy white Christmas decorations.
As pictured, the cedar & berry garland ” evergreen cypress” leaves a lot of room on my (approx 72″) dining table. The shorter length definitely allows for the end chairs to have a plate.
This garland was fairly easy to work with with some shedding. You could also easily wrap this garland into a wreath shape for a Christmas dining table centerpiece!
Faux Cedar Garland with Berries pros & cons
Pros:
- love the berries & pinecones
- beautiful icy color that will go well with snowy white decor
- affordable
Cons:
- very thin and short by itself
3. Party Joy Pine Faux Christmas Garland – 72″
The Party Joy 6ft Pine Garland is the most affordable (for its size) Christmas Garlands that I am reviewing in this post. For the length and realistic appearance, the price is a honestly such a steal!
From far away this pine garland looks pretty real. The pine needles are made of a thick plastic which helps create a more real texture oppose to the standard papery PVC Christmas Garland. Up close, you will see some dried glue in some spots where the pine sprigs connect to the branches.
The Party Joy Pine Christmas Garland also comes with a set of battery operated fairy lights to add to the branches.
As pictured, The Party Joy Pine Christmas Garland fills the entire (approx 72″) dining table. Not only in length, but this garland provides really good fullness. I would even tuck in some dried orange slices to add to the drama!
This garland was very easy to work with with really no shedding, since every pine sprig is attached to it’s own branch stem and secured with glue.
For the size, fullness and affordable price tag, the Party Joy Pine Christmas Garland is tough to beat.
Party Joy Pine Christmas Garland pros & cons
Pros:
- realistic pine needles
- comes with fairy lights
- very long & full
- affordable, especially for the size
- flexible
Cons:
- glue spots are visible up close
- pine sprigs can be unruly and need shaping
4. CraftMore Faux Cedar Garland – 72″
The CraftMore 6′ Cedar Garland is a very realistic looking holiday cedar garland! The warm green cedar pine color is spot on.
From far away this Cedar Garland looks very real! The pine needles are made of a quality plastic material and have multiple shades of green throughout the garland to create the most realistic looking cedar pine needles.
I feel this 6 foot length and overall fullness makes for the perfect fireplace mantel garland!
As you can see, The CraftMore 6′ Cedar Garland fills the entire (approx 72″) dining table with some pine needles even hanging off the edge. I also love how full, yet under control, this garland looks when laid across the table.
Out of the four garlands, this was probably the most flexible and easy to work with! Shedding was very minimal, if any.

The Best Faux Christmas Garland (imo)
In order of favorite to least favorite:
- Real Touch Norfolk Pine Garland
- CraftMore Faux Cedar Garland (close second!)
- Party Joy Pine Faux Christmas Garland
- Faux Cedar & Berry Faux Christmas Garland
My favorite Christmas garland out of the four I tried would have to be the Norfolk Christmas Garland. I fell in love with just how whimsical and realistic this faux cypress garland looks in person.
In terms of price point, style, realism and quality the Norfolk Christmas Garland just checks all of the boxes.
Out of all of the four garlands I tried, there wasn’t a holiday garland hat I disliked. They all really looked lovely.
I have been using the 60″ Norfolk Garland size on our fireplace mantel every year, however I really want to try the newer 96 inch double the fullness norfolk garland this year.
