Springtime in the desert is easily my favorite time of the year. The weather, the smell of citrus blossoms filling the air and all the time spent outside!
This homebody would stay at home, grill out and drink iced tea on the patio any day of the year. Now with an outdoor obsessed toddler, I can foresee myself spending pretty much my whole day out in the yard.
With that being said, decorating our small patio space is always a huge priority to me every spring. I want my patio area to feel clean, cozy, and inspiring!

Southwest chic is still going strong! I love the look of warm neutrals with clay and copper accent colors. I could easily see myself sipping coffee on this southwest chic patio every morning.
I love this new version of the infamous egg chair! It would make such a perfect statement piece on any patio. You do not need to worry about the back of the chair being to round or bulky, which is perfect for smaller spaces.

I love the idea of having fragrant flowers on the patio! We placed a few super fragrant potted roses and it was the best decision! Once in full bloom, you could smell the roses anywhere on the patio.

I love this entire neutral color scheme. This boho outdoor area rug is just $98 for a 7×10 and looks stunning! In terms of outdoor area rugs, that is pretty cheap for such a large size.
The real statement piece is this outdoor daybed. I am pretty sure I would never leave that spot. Give me a blanket, some tea, my dogs and I’m set.

If dirt and mud are a concern, I would definitely use darker colors and patterns on the patio. This patio sofa set is the perfect material and color to maintain!
Likewise, a dark patterned rug like this striped rug will be easy to maintain as well. Spring pollen and dust are a mess for us in Arizona! Monsoon season alone will make our patio spaces look like a dusty disaster We use this leaf blower throughout the week to clear off our patio rugs and furniture.

We finally got ourselves this patio egg chair while they were on sale a few years ago! They usually go on sale every year around Easter time. We are obsessed with this patio egg chair! So are the dogs…
It was worth every penny! This can easily fit 2-3 people. I love curling up with my toddler and reading his favorite books outside under our large ash tree.

Here is a rough draft of our current patio situation! The weather in Arizona is pretty much perfect from mid-October through early June, so a cozy patio is a must.
We ended up splurging on our outdoor sectional, since it will get so much use (especially from our regal beagles). That, and it needs to be able to withstand the dry heat of our Arizona summers.
I love the simple color scheme! I can easily add in different pillows each season to spice things up.

When I think of spring quarantine 2020, I think of chilly mornings on this affordable patio set!
We originally ordered this sectional in early March 2020, so we could comfortably watch the puppies play in our small townhome yard.
Little did we know we would soon be in lockdown and basically live outside on this sectional! (Phoenix springtime is paradise)
Kind of feels nostalgic looking back on those odd times.
