Making my Fireplace Sparkle! – Christmas Fireplace Decor with Wayfair
’tis the season to shimmer!
Happy December everyone! I have been having so much fun decorating for the holidays this year as a new mom!
My one year old may not realize what is going on with all of the decorations, but he is OBSESSED with christmas lights. Everytime we turn on our tree, he smiles, giggles and claps his hands.
With that being said, we decided to be EXTRA with the sparkly lights this year.
Starting with our family room fireplace. Our fireplace is one of my favorite spots to decorate for any occasion, but especially Christmas.

Christmas Fireplace Decorations – with Wayfair
This year’s Christmas family room theme is centered around shimmering lights (thanks to our one year old!)
I envisioned sparkly lights cascading down the mantle, glittery star garland and cozy accents. I found all of the perfect Christmas Decorations to make my holiday fireplace vision come to life from Wayfair!
Christmas Garland
Arguably the most important holiday Fireplace decoration: Christmas Garland!
I love the whimsical look of layered greenery like this faux cedar garland blended with this glittery star garland. I used two pieces of the faux cedar garland and adhered them to the mantle using these command hooks.
These little coral Christmas trees and wooden taper candle holders brought more texture and color to the mantle!
Sparkling Christmas Lights
There is nothing like the warm glow of a Christmas tree. I love the contrast of the warm lights mixing in with the blue twilight colors peaking through the windows after the sun goes down. To me, it feels so wintry and magical!
We decided to make our entire family room feel like a glowing Christmas tree with tons of sparkly curtain lights, decorations and glittery accents.
I cannot get over how magical these curtain fairy lights (behind our tv) make the living room look! They almost look like falling snow.
The curtain lights are super easy to hang up! We used these mini command hooks and the lights plug into the back of our TV via USB. Couldn’t be more convenient!
What better way to make our space feel like a wintry forest than with these indoor/outdoor LED birch trees?! They were the easiest trees to set up and they even come with metal stakes for securing outdoors.
These cascading LED curtain lights above the mantle simply look magical! I may just keep them up there all year long. I just love how they glow into the mirror.
Cozy Christmas Accents
Since the entire space had been adorned with sparkling lights and glittery accents, I thought I’d add in a bit of contrast with some cozy textures.
This tartan plaid chenille throw really brought the holiday warmth to the space (quite literally I suppose). It is vibrant, soft and makes me want to curl up and make some s’mores!
One of my most favorite throw pillows ever to exist just so happens to be this dainty sequin Christmas tree lumbar pillow! It is stunning, sparkly and beautiful quality.
My favorite pillow pairing always involves mixing textures and patterns, so it was obvious that I needed a cozy fur pillow to keep my sparkly sequin pillow company. This grey faux fur throw pillow is just as buttery soft as it looks!
Shimmering Christmas Fireplace
Good Christmas decorations look magical in any lighting. Day or night!
We usually wake up before the sun rises (my son included haha), so we love coming into the family room and turning on all of the magical lights!
A hot cup of coffee, cozy lights and Christmas music on vinyl is my new morning routine!
Throughout the day we get plenty of natural lighting in this room, yet the lights still look sparkly and fun. Then once the sun sets, the true magic returns.
