Happy Eras Tour month!
Whether you were “the lucky one” to secure tickets during the pre-sale madness, or if you are hoping there is an “invisible string” tying you to a somewhat affordable pair of tickets, the Eras tour is such an exciting time!
To help you “live for the hope of it all”, I purchased my tickets weeks before my show. At that time, they were marked WAY down from the outrageous November prices. However, this was also Glendale opening night, so the prices were a bit different back then.
No regrets. The concert was worth EVERY penny! She was incredible!
Manifesting that you WILL get tickets and get to attend! Until then, we can all still plan our Eras tour outfits right?! Part of the manifestation process…
My Eras Tour Outfit:
I took tons of video, but didn’t get many photos that night. I blame it purely on the shock of it being the opening night of the Eras Tour. I had no idea what to expect.
(Side note: this is not an amazon dress) I fell in love with this shimmery ethereal pink dress! It’s very whimsy Lover, but also kind of Folklore-esque!
I wore these Amazon Rhinestone Booties and honestly, they weren’t that bad to stand in for the three and a half hours haha!

Debut will forever be a vibe! This was the Taylor Swift that I was introduced to back in high school. Fun fact, we are both 1989 babies 🙂 We practically grew up together!
I remember watching one of her first interviews on GAC (or maybe CMT?) around the time she released Tim McGraw. At the time, country music was being dominated by male singers, so it was refreshing to see a young relatable female.
Her music brought back the 90s Shania Twain and Dixie Chicks vibe that I loved! We knew Taylor would be sticking around for awhile…

Red was released after I graduated college and started my first career as a music teacher! I was 23 for the “22” single, and remember feeling the FOMO haha.
I remember how controversial her new sound was. I thought (and still think) the pop-country genre was elite!
This album was fun, theatrical and the perfect time capsule for my early 20s. My early 20s were probably my least favorite years…”happy, free, confused and lonely at the same time” absolutely nailed it.

What a time to be alive! I had just bought my first Townhome and blasted this album nonstop. These were the anthems of my mid-twenties, folks.
This was the soundtrack as I cruised around in my 10 year old Hyundai Accent with the windows rolled down on a Friday Night. …probably driving to HomeGoods or something.

Loverrrr! This may be my favorite Era and I am SO sad it never got the moment it deserved. Which is why I feel like I will never fully know how much I love this Era…sigh.
“Cruel Summer” should have been the lead single. We all know that.
I personally feel Lover is when Taylor began to write the music she has always wanted to write, without the pressure of creating radio hits. While these songs are still catchy and chart worthy, they just have the signature ethereal Taylor Swift sound that we know very well now.
Sidenote: I bought the diary album from Target and the CD has been in my car ever since. Lover is my permanent car music. It never gets old.

Folklore got us all through the pandemic.
As a huge 90s singer/songwriter fan, this album was gold. Taylor’s lyrics have never been better and the music was magical, sad and free all at the same time.
I was leaving my 20s, leaving my 10 year career and moving at the time. This album played on my Alexa 24/7 and it will forever take me back to that uncertain, yet free feeling of 2020-2021.
Not going to lie, I really wanted the Folklore era to last a little longer… maybe it will return?

How can two albums be so similar, yet so drastically different?
Maybe it’s the fact this was released during the holidays, but Champagne Problems, Tolerate it and ‘Tis the Damn Season are all Christmas season songs, and you can’t tell me differently.

Midnights is such a vive! Taylor has never looked more confident, happy and unbothered. “Maroon” is on repeat 24/7 in my house.
As a woman in her early 30s, this album resonates so well with me. “You’re on Your Own Kid” is nostalgia in the most bittersweet way. We are so lucky to have her music!
