My fireplace may be taking a “summer vacation” as the weather begins to heat up, but that doesn’t mean it hasn’t earned a mini summer makeover!
Styling the fireplace for every season has easily become one of my favorite parts of decorating our home. To me, summer is all about incorporating your personal style with a bit of extra color.
Think greenery, colorful artwork, and all the LED candles for the evening vibes…

1. Cozy & Classic – Summer Fireplace Decor
I personally love my summer living room decor to feel clean, simple and lightweight.
I love the way this canvas wall art fills the space with color for the summer! The additional textures of the brown woven basket and ticking stripe blanket add a bit of coziness.
2. Warm & Eclectic – Summer Fireplace Decor
For a more eclectic boho living space, add warm colors and interesting figurines to your fireplace mantel. For example, this globe figurine and cheetah framed art bring the feeling of summer travels to your living room.
It just doesn’t feel like summer unless there is a little bit of greenery involved! This faux hanging plant is the perfect end piece to your summer fireplace mantel!
3. Elegant & Chic – Summer Mantel Decor
For a more simple, chic & feminine living room, add summer florals and romantic LED candles to your fireplace. This gorgeous floral framed art adds just the right amount of summer color without outdoing the overall neutral space.
I personally love a fireplace filled with LED candles year around! Living in Phoenix, we rarely use our fireplace for actual fires. LED candles add the cozy vibes without overheating our home.

Farmhouse Decor gets a bad rap these days, but it can be updated so well! I personally couldn’t thrive in a home that felt as cluttered as the entryway of Hobby Lobby, so to me less is more when it comes to farmhouse decor.
Instead of having a collection of those (bossy) signs telling you where to “gather” and “nest”, opt for a more modern and fun wooden letter board. You still get the personal touch, but you can literally personalize the sayings throughout the year!
Likewise, replace all whitewashed/distressed mint green wood with brass, black and warm wood decor. These iron look floor lanterns are the perfect update to your farmhouse space!
7. Modern Colonial – Summer Fireplace Decor
Have you heard of the unexpected red theory? I am obsessed!
The theory basically states that any addition of red decor to a space will instantly transform the space. There is no easier way to add a touch of red than with some red flowers in a vase! These faux red tulips accomplish so much!
