Easy 4th of July Outfits that you will wear all summer!
Favorite 4th of July traditions, 1…2..3…go!!
In Phoenix, it was always way too hot to do anything besides swim on the 4th of July. I was fortunate to grow up with a pool in our backyard and have good memories of swimming, eating firecracker popsicles and then heading to grandma’s house to watch the fireworks behind her house.
My husband, on the other hand, grew up in a small town in Indiana that thrives during the 4th of July! We visited his hometown for the 4th during our first summer as a couple. I’ll admit, 4th of July just hits different in a small town!
Most of the town roads were shut down in preparation for the local parade, so we rode our bikes everywhere. Nothing better to do than to ride our bikes through the woods until we reached the local ice cream shop!
On our way home, we stopped at a random corn stand on the side of the road and picked up summer sweet corn to grill later. All the houses were decorated with flag bunting above the windows with sunflower fields in the background like a scene from a summer Hallmark movie.
Once we got home, we grilled out and headed to the parade downtown! Obviously, the entire town was there and we didn’t really get a good viewpoint, so we just walked around until it was time for fireworks. The 4th of July never felt more “4th of July-ish”!
