Happy October, everyone!
Trader Joes and I go way back! I mean, I’ve been red cart cruisin’ and samplin’ the samples since I was a kid. I’ve probably tried just about every food item Trader Joes has to offer, but I haven’t really tried their beauty and skincare products until this past year.
I have always been into beauty, skin care and cruelty free products, but I always assumed if it was cheap then it wasn’t worth it. I feel like the mainstream beauty industry really wants us to believe that products need to be full of chemicals and expensive ingredients if we want to see results, however that’s not the case!
Last year, while I was planning my wedding I had to sacrifice my normal beauty and skincare products. ::sad face:: I started buying Trader Joes beauty items in hopes that they would at least do half a decent job at more than half the cost.
Fast forward to now, I am still buying the same Trader Joes beauty items over and over! Not because I am on a budget, but because I just can’t do without them! Let’s be real, I will forever be on a budget as a teacher haha Thankfully, there are beauty products out there that are affordable, effective and cruelty free!

10 Trader Joes Beauty Products I can’t stop Buying – (Cruelty Free!)
1. Tea Tree Tingle Shampoo
Not only is this a great cleansing shampoo, but it has been my go to cure for tension headaches! I am super sensitive to barometric pressure changes and suffer from frequent headaches. Massaging this mint and tea tree oil infused shampoo into my scalp is usually the only relief! It is so cool and refreshing! I will even use it as a facial wash if my skin is in need of a good cleanse. Overall, it is just a great cleansing shampoo that doesn’t leave your scalp dry.
2. Honey Mango Moisturizing Cream Shave
Where has this been my entire leg shaving life?! This is definitely a product I cannot live without. Just as the title states, this product is super creamy, moisturizing and has a light mango-honey fragrance. It makes shaving smooth and easy and there is no irritation afterwards. This is a must try!
3. A Midsummer Night’s Cream Moisturizer
I am constantly using lotion during the summer months in Arizona. Desert living definitely dries out the skin! As I have gotten older, I’ve become more sensitive and picky with most fragrances. This lotion is fragrance free, thick and actually moisturizing. Most lotions seem watery and fade away quickly. I find the lotion stayson my skin for hours and feels incredible moisturizing. It can be a little thick and sticky, so I mainly use this after I shower or right before bed.
4. Trader Joes Enrich SPF 15 Facial Moisturizer
This product is another frequent purchased item! I am a huge skincare fan, but I am not a fan of paying outrageous prices. This SPF facial lotion is very affordable and does the job well! I find it sits well under my makeup and doesn’t crumple into little balls on my face like most SPF facial prodcuts do. I even carry this in my purse to apply on my neck and the back of my hands throughout the day. (Arizona sunshine doesn’t mess around…)
5. Vitamin E Oil
This is one of many Trader Joes holy grail skincare products! Vitamnin E is so essential in healing your skin whether it be acne, scars, wrinkles or sun damage. I apply this to my face on evenings where I feel my skin is super dry. I always wake up with skin that feels more plump and healthy! My skin doesn’t break out with oils, so I have never had any bad reaction to this. I will even mix this oil with lotion and apply it all over my body for an extra vitamin boost.
6. Hyaluronic Serum
I have never been a serum fan. They always felt sticky and stuffy on my face however, I am trying to use them more and more. This was the first one that I loved! It basically feels like thick water on your face. After applying this serum, my face felt instantly hydrated. I usually apply this right after I wash my face and before moisturizing. I can’t wait to continue using this during the colder months when my face gets super dry!
7. Tea Tree Oil Wash
This is a great product for oily and acne prone skin! My skin is actually quite dry and I rarely break out as an adult, so I mainly use this facial wash for the antiseptic qualitiy that tea tree oil has. I love starting each weekend with this facial wash! I feel like I am washing away all the germs, city pollution and whatever grossness left on my face.
8. Rose Water Facial Toner
My husband loves this stuff! (don’t tell him I told you this…) We always keep one in the fridge and he will spritz his face everytime he goes to the fridge and just smiles. I use this throughout the day to perk up my makeup and lift my mood with the fragrance. A natural rose fragrance just might be my favorite fragrance ever! It is so calming, warm, refreshing and beautiful. I am not sure of the longterm benefits of this toner, but it definitely feels hydrating and relaxing after applying!
9. Rose Facial Oil
I remember when Trader Joes first came out with this product, it was so hard to find! They kept selling out, but finally I got my hands on one! This. oil. is. amazing. It isn’t super slick and oily like the vitamin E oil, so I apply it more often. I wear this before bed and on days that I don’t wear makeup. It just makes my face feel so soft and calm. Best of all, the rose fragrance is heavenly! I will even apply this lightly on my hair to calm frizzies and have that sweet rose scent linger. This actually might be my favorite Trader Joes skincare product!
10. All in One Facial Cleanser
I am definitely the type of girl who doesn’t want to spend $20+ on a skincare product that literally stays on my face for maybe 30 seconds before washing it all off. However, I don’t want a cheap product that is basically facial “dish soap”. This all in one facial cleanser is everything I need! It is not too cleansing where is sucks the life out of your skin, but it isn’t too creamy where it feels like you’ve just added more goop to your face.
