Happy Labor Day Weekend Everyone!
I really need to start a holiday weekend sales fund jar for my home. These amazing sales are just so tempting, but I can’t do them all! Sad face. However, I did end up taking advantage on one of the best sales since the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale… the VIB Sale!
Sephora rarely hosts storewide sales, so when they do… you shop! The VIB sales can earn you up to 20% off of your entire purchase depending on what level you are (Insider, VIB & Rouge). This is the best time to purchase fragrances, skin care and stock up on your every day essentials.
This year was all about skin care for me! I am closer and closer to 30 and my skin isn’t getting any younger. While I don’t have any obvious signs of aging, I am starting to feel that my skin isn’t as low maintenance as it has been. After sampling a few wonderful Sephora products for a few weeks, I have committed to some great products that I am excited to use and review!
While I didn’t go ham with the sale, I did purchase two skin care products that I’ve been dying to own! The rest of these products have been purchased throughout the year and I would easily repurchase! Keep reading for more 🙂

Top Picks for the Sephora VIB Sale
1. Tarte Park Ave Princess – This powder contour palette turned out to be more than I could every imagine! I use these as bronzers, highlight, pressed powder and eyeshadow! The colors are stunning and apply like a dream. I’m not a bronzer/contour person but somehow I ended up being obsessed with this!
2. Urban Decay Naked Skin – I’m on like my 5th bottle of this foundation. I used to never repurchase the same foundation twice in hopes that I’d find the one… well, I did. It’s called the Urban Decay Naked Skin for Normal/Combination skin. It’s lightweight, build-able coverage, healthy and doesn’t cake.
3. Tarte Be a Mermaid & Make Waves Palette – Currently not in stock anymore 🙁 I saw it in stores this summer, so check your local store just in case!
4. Amazing Grace Emulsion – This was actually a bridal shower gift, however I am hooked! I wore this perfume all throughout college and the scent just smells like “me” to me. It’s not super strong like the perfume, but it just gives me a light signature scent that mixes well with my current perfumes. The lotion itself is so moisturizing! I will definitely repurchase for the benefits it has brought my skin!
5. Purity Made Simple Mini – I am not a fan of expensive cleansers. You literally just apply it to your face and then wash it off. However, my eyes are super sensitive when washing off eye makeup. This has been a great cleanser that really gets off all the mascara and grime! I only need a little bit for my eyes, so hopefully this lasts!
6. The Microdelivery Face Wash – I received a mini sample of this and fell in love. Every time I used it, I noticed my face would be extra smooth and glowy the next morning. It never failed! I finally bit the bullet and just purchased it despite the fact that I do just wash it off 30 seconds later like a cleanser… but hey! This one does a lot in those 30 seconds.
7. Drunk Elephant C-Firma™ Day Serum – Earlier this year I saved money for a pre-wedding facial. When it came time to schedule, I just couldn’t get myself to spend all that money on a one time facial that really wouldn’t make a difference (considering I’d be wearing makeup and my photographer edits beautifully) Instead, I kept the money to later splurge on some good skincare! So glad I did. I will have to review this once I’ve used it for some time, but Vitamin C is essential for your skin.
8. Drunk Elephant T.L.C. Sukari Babyfacial™ – This stuff is life changing! Earlier this summer (when I decided not to go with a facial) I collected a few samples from Sephora. I was certain I was going to end up with “Good Genes”, but this sample just won me over. The sample lasted me about a month since I only used it on Sundays. Let me tell you, Monday morning when I expected to look in the mirror at my tired zombie face, I was always floored to see how plump and awake my skin looked. I never got the same effect with the other samples (granted it could just take time with the others…) so this was the winner!
9. Virgin Marula Luxury Facial Oil – This cute little mini came with the baby facial. I have heard only great things about this, so I can’t wait to try it out and review it! Best of all, this product is way more affordable than the others!
There we have it! I can’t wait to continue to use all of these products! Especially the newbies 🙂 Expect a review in the months to come!
