The Nordstrom Anniversary Sale 2024 dates have officially arrived!
On July 15th, everyone will be able to shop the Anniversary Sale online and in-store. However, depending on your Nordstrom Cardmember level, you can possibly shop as early as July 9th, 10th or 11th.
The Nordstrom Anniversary sale is such a fun time of the year for me! As a fall fashion girly, I love seeing all of the new sweaters, boots, jackets and upcoming fall styles. The sale always lands on the week of my birthday, which is all sorts of dangerous fun haha!

What is the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale?
The Nordstrom Anniversary Sale is an annual sale that is unlike any other sale. Where most sales include old inventory in order to make way for the next season of items, Nordstrom actually puts a selection of their brand new late summer, fall and early winter items on sale.
With the N-sale, you are brand new styles as well as classic fan favorites marked down. Products range from women’s fashion, men’s fashion, kid’s fashion, home decor, jewelry, designer brands, beauty sets and so much more!
Nsale 2024 Dates
The sale will kick off for everyone beginning on July 15th, however cardmembers of different levels will get early access as early as July 9th.
Nordstrom Cardmember Early Access
As a way to say thank you to Nordstrom Cardmembers, the Anniversary Sale has a few Early Access dates for these individuals to shop the sale early. As frustrating as it is to non-card members, it really is just another retail/business strategy that we just have to accept.
There is a rewards program that anyone can sign up for called “The Nordy Club”. This is great for earning Nordstrom Notes (money to spend), free alterations, faster shipping and more. You can find out more information on “The Nordy Club” here.
I am not one to ever push a credit card on anyone. There is no sale worth the risk of financial harm, so do not feel as if you need to sign up for the Nordstrom Credit Card in order to avoid sale fomo.
However, I will say that I do personally have a Nordstrom Credit Card. I find the ability to shop the sale early to be a great perk, but not worth the financial stress if you are in a financial state of needing to save money.
The Nordstrom card is actually the only retail credit card I own. I signed up for the card once I became stable financially, had already built credit with my bank credit card and took into consideration that I do shop Nordstrom for almost all my essentials (clothing, home, beauty). Something to keep in mind in order to prevent any financial strains in your life!
With all of that being said, I have been a Nordstrom “Influencer” my entire blogging career and will be shopping July 11th, because I cannot justify spending $5,000+ a year at Nordstrom haha.
Nordstrom Anniversary Sale 2024 Preview
The past few years, Nordstrom has been releasing the majority of their inventory a week early online for preview only. Nordstrom used to release all of the products online the first day of the sale leaving everyone frantically scrambling to see the inventory.
Everyone can preview the inventory release online and save items to their wishlist, but no one will be able to make any purchases until their specific shopping date.

The Nordstrom Anniversary Sale 2024 is the best sale to stock up on quality essentials, fall 2024 styles and repurchase your favorite beauty items! Some people even find the N-Sale to be a great time to shop for the holidays since the prices are so low!
Some years I will go all out and revamp my fall wardrobe, restock on beauty items and shop for gifts. Other years I will literally just purchase a sunblock set and call it a day.

Nordstrom Anniversary Sale 2024 Inventory & Sell Out Risk
The lack of inventory for some of the most desired Nordstrom Anniversary Sale products is easily my biggest complaint. Top items such as birkenstocks, athletic sneakers, dresses and bags will often sell out within the first few days of cardmember access.
This lack of inventory can be very frustrating and discouraging for lower card members and non-card members.
I remember back in 2017 and 2018, items would always restock for the public access. It was as if they held part of their inventory to help non-cardmembers have a fair chance at purchasing some of the top selling items.
Years later (including last year) items have just been selling out within days and rarely come back in stock within the timeframe of the sale. This has definitely been the most frustrating aspect of the sale! I am hoping for improvements in inventory numbers this year!
Nordstrom Anniversary Sale Tips
- Make sure to add all favorite items to your wishlist
- If an item sold out, Nordstrom will notify you when it comes back in stock
- Purchase ANY size that comes available to secure the sale price. Items typically restock after the sale and can be exchanged without losing the sale savings.
If there is a certain sold out item you really want, purchase any size that is available. Once the sale is over, most items restock in all sizes and you can exchange. Nordstrom will still honor the sale price! Likewise, if a product happens to not restock after the sale you can just return it for free.
