Hello Everyone!
I have an exciting life update to share: We bought a house!
Long story short, my hubby and I decided (mid May) that our townhome was officially too small for us. Having two wild puppies kind of set us over the edge, so we decided to just go for it!
We need a house with a real backyard ASAP.
We have had quite the adventure the last few weeks, but I am happy to say that we found the perfect house AND sold our townhome in less than 24 hours. It literally all worked out beautifully.
Now for the fun stuff… planning! Oh, and packing (booo)
I am so excited to decorate this new place! It is definitely a bit dated (hello, 90’s brass and glass pendant lights…) However, this place has sooo much potential!
The layout is open, there are huge bay windows, tall ceilings, tons of natural light and a gorgeous backyard. Tons to work with for sure!
I am definitely a vision board kind of gal when it comes to planning. However, I need to know my exact products, prices and potential sales coming up. Pinterest can only do so much for me, so I rely on making vision graphics while I find exact products! I make all of my product vision boards with Canva (it’s free) and I am happy to share all of them as I go. 🙂

I am personally loving the brass comeback! However, I love how these modern brass light fixtures have more of a clean, satin finish oppose to the 80’s high shine “orangey” brass.
We actually have this light fixture for our guest bathroom mini renovation! I will share a sneak peak of that bathroom reveal below 🙂
Guest Bathroom Refresh
As I mentioned early, our new home has a bit of updating to do! The structure and layout is more than fine, but we really wanted to take our home out of the the 2000s Tuscan home era.
After discovering that our guest bathroom shower did not actually work, we decided to start here. (how did our home inspector miss this?!)
We still plan on replacing our shower surround, shower trim, mirror, hardware and countertop/sink. However, here is a sneak peak on the mini makeover our guest bathroom received!
What we have changed so far –
- Painted the walls “Pure White” by Sherwin Williams
- Added board & batten in “Evergreen Fog” by Sherwin Williams
- Added this Light Fixture from Lights.com
- Glazed the oak cabinets with this glaze in “Tudor Brown”
- Lightened & resealed the grout with this product in “Bone”
- Added this shower curtain and accent rug

This is another look at our previous dining room refresh! We plan on keeping the same natural color scheme in our new home. I love the look of creamy white walls with natural wood accents.
I loved this faux fiddle tree in this space, however I am hoping to bring in a live olive tree to the next space! Big girl house = big girl plants haha!

I am also a huge fan of mixing materials, textures and metals! I feel like it makes my home feel a bit more relaxed and interesting. However, I have seen some gorgeous homes with a very uniform light fixture color scheme.
