It’s been just a little over 7 months since our Interior Define Sofa was delivered. Even though it was love at first sight, do we still love our stunning green velvet sofa?! Yes. 1000% yes!
Having our Christmas decorations up made for the perfect opportunity to get photos of our green velvet sectional in all its glory. However, this shade of green is truly stunning 365 days of the year!

Interior Define Sofa Comfort:
Our Interior Define Sectional is by far the most comfortable sofa I have ever sat on and owned.
My criteria for comfort:
Supportive Cushions. I prefer furniture to be supportive and lightly firm oppose to sinking down into feathery down material. The James Sectional Down Alternative cushions are not the type of cushions that you will sink into. However, they are by no means “hard” or even truly “firm”. I can still feel like I am lightly melting into my spot on the couch, but at the same time I am being held up and supported.
Couch Nap Approved! We opted for the wider bench cushions, so couch naps are next level. The bench cushions have the firm support of a thick memory foam mattress mixed with the softness of down alternative fill.
Interior Define Sofa Quality:
Our interior define sofa looks and feels just as good as the day it was delivered. After around 7 months of everyday use (two young kids and two beagles), there is no sign of fabric pilling, stains or indentations in any of the cushions.
Interior Define Performance Velvet:
While designing our Interior Define sectional, we went back on forth on a few different performance fabrics. Ultimately, we wanted a fabric that would withstand the test of time, toddlers and beagles.
Of all the furniture fabrics out there, velvet is by far one of the most durable. Due to the velvet fibers not being in a woven pattern, you will not see any snagging, pills or pulls.
Our sectional has lived through daily dog zoomies, light spills and toddler hands. Liquids stay right on the surface and can be easily blotted off. Likewise, food can be wiped away with a damp cloth. I could not be happier with just how low manintence this fabric truly is!
Cost & Shipping:
We ordered our sectional at the end of February 2025. Our original delivery date was set for the end of May, however we were informed early May that our sectional would be available for delivery a few weeks earlier. If I remember correctly, I opted to keep our original delivery week due to needing more time to get rid of our previous sectional.
At the time we made our purchase (February 2025) there was a 25% off President’s Day Sale happening all month long. After all of the sale discounts, our sectional costed a total of $3615. Shipping was $279 and taxes added an additional $332.59 making it a grand total of $4226.59.
Trust me, I felt buyers remorse for weeks after making the initial purchase. However, once the sectional was delivered every bit of worry/remorse/guilt left my body! 7 months later, and I still am so happy with this purchase!
Furniture in general is so overpriced no matter if you are purchasing outstanding quality or flimsy mdf board. It truly has become of matter of finding the middle ground between great quality and not being too rediculously overpriced.
I researched just about every sectional out there, ordered swatches, watched prices & sale patterns and read every review I could. Interior Define really was the best choice for us.
I have noticed prices have increased across just about every furniture company (sigh). Something to keep in mind just in case you are continuing to push off your purchase.
Would I purchase from Interior Define again?
Yes. 100% Yes! We are in the process of redoing our smaller living room/den area. A small sofa with accent chairs are on the manifestation list for 2026!

- This bedframe in “Denim Performance Hunt Stripe”
- These counter stools in “Fawn Perfromance velvet” (with oak cabinets?! yesss)
- This breakfast nook bench in “lavender” (imagine that color with a round dark wood table!!)
- This accent chair (color not yet decided hehe) (will either match my green sectional, or be the perfect contrast)
- This sofa loveseat for my den (maybe chambray, fawn or a fun pop of color)
