Happy Weekend! This weekend is a bit bittersweet for me…It is my last weekend of Summer Break before I return to school for teacher prep week. On the other hand, I am super excited to see my co-workers/friends and I’ve been missing my little musician kiddos sooo much! I just don’t know how I am going to explain to my dog that I won’t be home all day to snuggle anymore…
One of the best parts about being a teacher is that you still get that “refreshed and new” feeling when you start a new school year. Summer is the perfect time to relax, reflect and ready yourself for the upcoming challenges of teaching. What better way to start new than with a refreshed wardrobe?!
Oh, that sounds great… but I’m a teacher with a teacher’s salary. No Gucci belt for this girl…
With that being said, I always try and purchase clothing items (on sale!) that I can wear in the classroom AND have fun wearing on the weekends for date nights and such. (My husband is also a teacher…so Friday night “date nights” are usually Netflix and falling asleep by 9pm haha!)
Here are a few outfit ideas that I’ve put together from Loft. I simply LOVE Loft! They have such quality pieces that last for years. Best of all, they always have a sale. Never pay full price at loft, people! The whole store will eventually be 40%-50% off. Trust me, it will be worth the wait to give yourself a mini shopping spree!

Red Sleeveless Sweater
Classroom:
Weekend:
This sleeveless red sweater makes such a statement whether it’s styled casually or for the classroom (or office). It is lightweight enough to wear all summer, but still has the high quality feel of a chunky knit sweater for the fall. In Arizona, our fall is basically “sleeveless sweater weather”, so this will get tons of wear!
This skirt is everything, but you will hear more about it as you read! These jeans are SUPER flattering and have such a cute distressed tulip hem. I could probably get away with wearing this “weekend” outfit on a Friday at school!
Size Reference: Red Sweater Tank (Xs Reg. Runs slightly small.) // Skirt (Xs Reg. slightly big, but I like the added length.) // Denim (24 reg. I’m usually a 25, so you may want to size down!)

Black and White Striped Pull-on Skirt
Classroom:
Weekend:
This black and white striped skirt is so much more lovely in person than it appears online! The fabric is very flattering and smooths everything out without looking super clingy. I am wearing a petite size, but I ended up liking the regular fit better for length.
Size Reference: Striped Skirt (Xs Petite. Runs slightly small. I went with the Xs Reg.) // Lavender Sweater (S reg. True to size! I like an oversized fit.) // Tank (Xs reg. true to size!)

Over the Shoulder Blouse
Classroom:
Weekend:
I Would have never picked out this top online! It is beautiful in person! The fabric is very buttery and lays nicely. I sized up to a small for a flowy feel. This also comes in an olive color, that is equally as stunning!
These Loft Jeans are another pair that I can wear on Friday casual days! I love loft jeans! They are always so well made, denim shades are beautiful and they last forever!
Size Reference: OTS Top (S Reg. Runs small.) // Skirt (Xs Reg. slightly big, but I like the added length.) // Denim (24 reg. I’m usually a 25, so you may want to size down!)

Cowl Neck Sleeveless Sweater Tunic
Classroom:
Weekend:
Lou & Grey is typically out of my budget range, but this sweater neck is currently around $30 with the sale! The fabric is so soft and it looks and feels way more expensive than it is. This would be super cute with leggings and boots for the fall!
I am wearing the Regular sized skirt in the first image. The petite felt a bit too short to wear in the classroom.
Size Reference: Grey Cowl Neck Tunic (S Reg. Runs True To Size.) // Skirt (Xs Reg. I like the longer length than the petite version.) // Denim (24 reg. I’m usually a 25, so you may want to size down!)

Lavender V-neck Sweater
Classroom:
Weekend:
This skirt. Thissss skirt! The moment I tried it on I wanted to send it straight to the register! Usually skirts like this make my wide hips look wider and my short legs look even shorter, but this has such a flattering flounce silhouette! It is a lightweight tweed, but by no means cheap. I’m obsessed, if you couldn’t tell hehe…
The sweater blouse in the first image is such a unique and stunning saffron yellow shade. I grabbed it, because I thought it was a color I wouldn’t like on, but I ended up loving it! (I always try and grab at least one thing that I wouldn’t normally wear…that’s how I found my wedding dress haha!)
The pistachio green tank in the second pic is adorable in person! The back has a sweet little bow. Best of all, it is 100% cotton. Loft’s 100% cotton tees and tanks are literally the only thing I wear during the days of 110+ degree Arizona temps.
Size Reference: Flounce Tweed Skirt (Xs Reg. Runs big, but I saw it as length and comfort.) // Saffron Sweater Blouse (S Reg. Definitely big, but they didn’t have Xs or Xxs to compare.) // Bow Back Tank (Xs. True to size, but runs short!)
