It’s the most wonderful time of the year…
**whisper sings, so the Halloween fans do not come for me**
Every fall I start off loving the Halloween-spooktacular vibes. I throw pumpkins everywhere. I make a loaf of pumpkin bread… I “say” I am going to make my front entryway spooky-season themed. Then, two weeks later I’m over it.
Just give me Christmas! No questions. You can keep your Halloween Decor… let’s just co-exist, mmmkay?
For the past three years, I have loved creating Holiday Decor inspo posts for you all. They usually land around this time of year… a few days before Halloween haha!
What can I say?! These posts are too fun to make! I can only decorate once a year for the Holidays, but I have sooo many ideas! This helps me live vicariously through you all. (my husband still won’t let me have a Rose-Gold themed tree… sad face).
Christmas seems even more important this year. Without a doubt, 2020 has been difficult, stressful, confusing and kind of empty. My husband and I have personally dealt with heartache and loss more than ever this year, as I am sure many of you have as well.
While Christmas may be a difficult time for some of us, at the same time, it is just what we need. A reminder to stop and be present. Spend time (social distancing) with loved ones. Cherish the home we live in and spent sooo much time in this “quarantine” of a year! In a way, the Holidays may just be the one “certain” thing about 2020.
Although, the holidays may not be spent at a party with sequins and gifts stacked to the ceiling this year… I still cannot wait! Sequins are great, but I am more of a cozy flannel PJs girl anyways. 🙂
Cozy Christmas 2020, here we goooo!

This will be our first Christmas in our new home! Also, our first Christmas with the puppies.
There is a lot at stake here haha… I want the most glorious Christmas decorations to celebrate our new home. However, I also don’t want to come home to our puppies playing tug-of-war with garland.
I am already accepting the fact that any Christmas tree maaay get peed on.
In all, I really want this Christmas to feel extremely cozy and slow paced this year. I just want to be able to pause, and just stare at the holiday lights in my home with a sense of peace and gratitude. Maybe a glass of wine with some classic Christmas tunes! (old lady at heart)

Red decor, tartan plaid and green Christmas trees really are a timeless decor palette! You can keep things ultra simple and down-to-earth, or you can deck the halls, corners, ceilings and every room in your house ha!
I love this curtain light set! This would be so magical in a bay window setting! Or any window, really!

I love an icy Christmas palette! Sometimes holiday decor can feel a bit cluttered and crowded, but not this theme! Icy neutrals really make your space feel clean, airy and bright!
This flocked Christmas tree is gorgeous! The reviews on it are amazing and their are customer photos to prove.

This has been my favorite holiday decor theme so far this year! I love the mixture of Scandinavian Christmas decor with an added coziness (velvet pillows, wooden garland).
Last year we did a tree with no ornaments. It wasn’t on purpose though! After putting our dog down early December 2019, I was honestly too devastated to finish decorating. 🙁
Despite the fact that last Christmas was a heartbreak, I really did love how our tree looked without all of the ornaments and fluff!

This has definitely been my go to Christmas decor theme! We don’t get snow or ice in Arizona. In fact, our leaves barely start turning orange right around Christmas haha! (at least the 5 trees that actually do turn colors)
With that being said, Christmas feels a little more “autumnal” to us desert dwellers. This cozy, warm toned boho theme feels right at home in the southwest!

Alright. Here it is! The theme that I show my husband every year as a “joke”, but secretly I want every bit of this.
Spoiler alert: he told me no again. Perhaps we will one day have a daughter and only THEN will I get my rose gold themed Christmas tree… for her nursery. It’s going to happen, folks. #notpregnant
How pretty is this, though?!
