Hey Everyone!
This has been the first week since the big move that I finally feel a little less discombobulated. Every time I move into a new place, I always miss all the little things that I took for granted at the last place. The familiar smells, sounds and routine.
While I would never go back to my last home, I really just miss knowing where everything was. (That, and knowing which light switch actually turns on the d*mn light)
Now, I feel like I have settled a bit! I LOVE our new home, neighborhood and I finally figured out the switches, haha.
We have almost completely unpacked and now for the fun stuff: decorating!
I cannot wait to kick off our first year in the home during the best half of the year. Fall, halloween, thanksgiving… Christmas! I literally have butterflies in my tummy thinking about it all.
To help me stay organized (and not over spend hehe) I always create vision boards with the exact products I am looking to buy. That way, I can budget and purchase items accordingly.

Okay, Amazon. We see you! I have been eying this brass chandelier for sometime now. It’s $699 and will probably never make it into my humble abode… but that’s okay!
Amazon has the perfect dupe for the Pottery Barn chandelier!
Moreover, I love how classic loloi rugs look. They are very affordable, easy maintenance and make such a statement. I actually have this loloi rug in my living room now 🙂

I wouldn’t completely label my decor style as “transitional”, but I feel like I have been really introducing more of this style recently.
Here is this loloi rug in action! We absolutely love it! In our previous home, we had a gorgeous off white geometric area rug (seen here). We loved that rug, until we got puppies! While that rug was very easy to clean, I felt like I was constantly shampooing it.
This rug is short pile and very low maintenance.
Let’s talk about this coffee table! This piece is absolutely stunning! The table is somewhat hollow, but the wood is super sturdy (my puppies climb on it all the time…sigh). It is currently my favorite piece in the house!
Side note, my puppies are now a year old! :’-(

Our “new” house is actually a 90s build. She has good bones, but definitely in need of a major makeover! If you are familiar with 90s home in the Southwest USA, you may already know what I am up against: the Tuscan home era. Dun dun dunnn
The walls are beige, the kitchen is orange-ish and every light fixture is filled with elaborate bronze scrolls. Luckily the builder went for more of a Spanish-Tuscany vibe. I LOVE the arches and high ceilings!
I am thinking a mixture of Modern Spanish and Transitional decor. White walls, warm woods and neutral olive tones.

I cannot wait to refresh our master bedroom! Right now it is a beige wall, speckled carpet mess. Our plan is to add a warm wood flooring and paint the walls some shade of off-white. (Thinking Benjamin Moore White Dove)
As for decor, I am kind of wanting something different from the traditional crisp white bedding. I am loving the look of linen, off whites and textured neutrals.
Transitional Entryway Decor

One of the many things my former townhome lacked was an actual Entryway! The front door opened right into the living room. The door was literally inches from the front window and set of stairs.
There was really no space for a proper entryway console (why does this sentence sound so snooty? haha) Needless to say, I am pumped to get my console decor on!
