Affordable Boho Rugs for your Home – This post has been updated and will no longer feature some rugs that are out of stock.
Boho Area Rugs are the easiest way to make a huge impact on a room! With so many fun patterns, medallions and bold colors to choose from, the search for your perfect rug can be filled with indecisiveness.
I am sharing an organized collection of affordable boho rugs to hopefully give you ideas and inspiration on what you would love to see in your own space!
At the end of this post, I am sharing a few of my own rugs that I have styled within my home. Cute beagles included π
Affordable Boho Rugs for your Home – Neutral, Bold & Checkerboard
Neutral Boho Area Rugs
These neutral boho rugs will fit in with any space! A light colored rug with minimal contrast in patterns really allows the rest of your decor to stand out.
I love the look of warm wood tones and bold velvet sofas with a creamy neutral boho area rug! On the other hand, an all neutral space is equally as stunning!
Checkerboard Area Rugs
Checkerboard flooring has been trending lately! Actually, for centuries if you think about it… If you cannot change your flooring, a checkerboard rug can make such a statement!
I currently have this indoor/outdoor checkerboard rug in my home office. I shared a photo below featuring my handsome beagle boy, Archie! He loves the camera…
I am in love with this rose checkered shag rug! It would look so perfect in a girly apartment with a matching rose colored velvet sofa. I could also see it being such a precious nursery/bedroom rug.
Vintage Inspired Boho Area Rugs
I love me a bold, red boho rug. I currently have this crimson floral rug in our family room and it is the softest rug ever! The material is “cloud pile” which feels just as soft as it sounds. I don’t have a photo, (and it is currently covered in legos) but I will try and get a styled shot soon!
I also have this merlot boho rug in our dining room. It is bold, moody, and so interesting in all lighting throughout the day. You can scroll to see a photo at the end!
Red and Spice rugs look fantastic in almost any setting! We currently have an old grey/blue sectional in our living room and it beautifully contrasts with the warm reds within our crimson floral rug. Eventually, we will be replacing it with an olive green velvet sectional which I am SO excited for.
Expect the reds and spice colors to really bring the best out of blue, green and cream colored decor!
Affordable Boho Rugs that I own & love!
If you couldn’t tell, I’m a big rug girl. Probably my favorite piece of home decor in general… Anytime Loloi comes out with a new line I have to talk myself out of redoing my entire home rug inventory.
Here a few rugs that I personally own (or have owned) and love. All of these rugs I have had for at least 3 years and can vouch for their quality and in-person beauty!
Checkerboard Home Office Rug
Archie beagle is such a stud muffin! He loves the camera. Luna on the other hand is a bit more camera shy, but you will see her too π
This checkerboard rug is actually an indoor/outdoor rug! I originally bought it for a spot on our patio that I was going to turn into a little bistro area. That never happened, because I LOVED how the checkered rug looked in this space.
I especially love the durability with my desk chair rolling over it constantly.
Moody Dining Room Merlot Rug
A beagle’s second favorite room: the dining room (kitchen is obviously first).
This merlot boho rug was on my wishlist for at least a year before I used birthday money to get it. It was originally supposed to replace our old bedroom rug, but I loved how it looked with our dining room ensemble.
Black & White Moroccan Rug
This is our sweet angel beagle, Bailey in our previous home. She went to doggy heaven a few years ago and I’ve never missed someone or something so much! She truly is my guardian beagle angel now.
About 6 months after she passed, we ended up adopting our two beagles from a rescue & rehab animal hospital (they were parvo survivors).
This story has a point I swear… we were caring for two recovering puppies and they had weak stomachs for pretty much an entire year. This rug realllly went through it a few times. However, it was always SO easy to clean.
Here is the same rug over a year later with Archie & Luna. The design did not fade, however the angle of this photo shows the slightly higher pile that the cream colored shag has in comparison to the charcoal design.
Needless to say, this mostly WHITE rug survived double puppyhood. Likewise, this room led to the kitchen so there is the added foot traffic. For any spots or stains that I needed to treat, I always used this carpet cleaning machine.
Closing thoughts
Whether you are deciding on the perfect rug or just love looking at home decor inspo, I hope you found some enjoyment out of this post!
