I am so excited to share this post with you! I have been falling in love with the wooden watch trend that has been happening lately, so once JORD reached out to me with their unique watches, my heart basically skipped a beat (pun intended hehe).
In all seriousness, I always have a tough time finding jewelry that I truly love for myself. I am not a huge fan of flashy and expensive pieces, but I am not really into basic minimalist pieces either. I consider my style to be feminine, but also natural and bit earthy. With all of that being said, JORD’s watches are definitely the perfect fit for my style!
Wooden Watches by JORD
JORD’s watches are the perfect mixture of luxury and down to earth. To me, wooden watches are like the patchouli and amber fragrances of the jewelry world. They can be very classic and sophisticated, yet there is this earthy and masculine quality that really captures my attention.
I instantly fell for the Cassia Zebra & Ivory. The Ivory face with the roman numerals looks so chic to me! However, there are so many other gorgeous styles for women and men.
First Impressions
My watch came in the most gorgeous wooden keepsake box. I immediately thought of how cute this box would look under a Christmas tree with a rustic plaid bow wrapped around it. (Am I right?!) Or, even how great it will display on my white dresser beside a vase with fresh eucalyptus leaves. I really wasn’t expecting this gorgeous packaging, which made it feel that much more special and luxury!
Once I opened the box, I could not believe how stunning the watch was. I don’t think I’ve every owned a piece of jewelry (other than my wedding rings) that I’ve been so in awe of! The watch is surprisingly light weight and fits perfectly around my petite wrist thanks to JORD’s custom sizing. You can also have the back of the watch engraved which makes this the perfect gift.
Women’s Watches & Men’s Watches
Nothing about this watch feels too over the top or quirky. Likewise, it has the right amount of luxury to make it feel sophisticated, feminine and special. Once I put on my JORD wooden watch, I felt like I owned this watch forever. The warm zebra wood compliments every outfit beautifully, especially my fall wardrobe! Best of all, it is splash resistant and the wood will age beautifully.
Oh, and my husband loves it! Usually, he could care less about my outfits and accessories, but this watch?! He wanted to hold it, examine the wood, ask about 20 questions and then proceeded to look at the options for men. (Christmas present idea for sure!) His favorite men’s watch was definitely the Hyde walnut & black.
My Overall Experience with JORD
On top of JORD’s wooden watches being stunning, the company itself is worth mentioning. First of all, they truly value material sustainability. I didn’t realize how harmful metal jewelry manufacturing really is to the environment. Something as simple as a little metal necklace takes so much energy to mass produce which requires a great amount of carbon dioxide emissions. Wood, on the other hand, requires much less energy and is one of the most sustainable materials to use.
